The SEAT 1430 , with an engine designed exclusively by SEAT and with no equivalent in FIAT, is distinguished by its double square headlight, improved seats and refined instrumentation, offering a more elegant and sporty look compared to the SEAT 124. Available in 1600 and 1800 cc versions, tuners such as Juncosa and ddauto, among others, optimized both the engines and the suspensions, either for competition or for drivers looking for superior performance. In the mid-1970s, the SEAT 124 and 1430 ranges were unified with the restyling known as the SEAT 124 "Pamplona", manufactured in Landaben, Pamplona. The most advanced model was the "Pamplona" 2000 , although enthusiasts prefer the FU 1800 . In addition, SEAT 's sports division pushed the performance of the 124 , 1430 and "Pamplona" to the limit with preparations for competition in the Gr.p 1, Gr.p 2, Gr.p 4 groups and the impressive Group 5 Proto prototype, with a 2100 cc engine and driven by Antonio Zanini .
