🏜️ The origin of a desert legend

It all began with a mistake. In 1977, French rider Thierry Sabine got lost on his motorcycle in the Libyan desert during an African rally. Surrounded by endless dunes, he realized that this extreme landscape was the perfect stage for an unprecedented adventure.

In December 1978, more than 180 vehicles set off from Europe toward the African desert. With no GPS, no electronic aids, and only maps for navigation, one of the toughest and most legendary motorsport challenges was born.

For decades, this competition forged its myth by crossing the Sahara and other unforgiving territories. Over time, it changed continents, but never lost its essence: endurance, navigation, and the spirit of perseverance.

The Desert Raid – Rally Edition pays tribute to that original spirit. It’s not just a block-built vehicle — it’s a story of sand, engines, and challenge… built piece by piece.
