The Citroën SM, launched in 1970, was one of the most advanced cars of its time in terms of design and technology. This luxury coupé combined Citroën’s sophisticated hydropneumatic suspension with a Maserati V6 engine, giving it an exceptionally smooth and stable driving experience at high speeds. Its adaptive power steering allowed for precision adjustments as the car accelerated, while its swiveling headlights followed the direction of the steering wheel to improve visibility when cornering. Despite production being stopped in 1975, the Citroën SM is still remembered as a masterpiece of French automotive engineering and design.
